EIA: US Ethanol Output Rose to 14Wk High Week Ended Nov. 1 OAKHURST, N.J. (DTN) -- Overall ethanol production in the United States averaged 1.105 million bpd, up 23,000 bpd week-on-week and the highest level since the week ended July 26, Energy Information Administration data show. Weekly production was 63,000 bpd, or 5.7% higher than in the same week last year. EIA reports four-week average output at 1.077 million bpd was 35,000 bpd above the same four weeks last year. Midwest ethanol production averaged 1.042 million bpd, up 19,000 bpd week-on-week and 56,000 bpd, or 5.4% higher than in the same week last year. Four-week average output at 1.016 million bpd was 28,000 bpd above the same four weeks last year. Ethanol blending activity in the U.S. averaged 918,000 bpd, down 4,000 bpd week-on-week and 27,000 bpd, or 2.9% higher than in the same week last year. Four-week average blending demand at 917,000 bpd was 13,000 bpd above the same four weeks last year. Blender inputs at the East Coast were up 3,000 bpd on the week while inputs in the Midwest were down 4,000 bpd, up 1,000 bpd on the Gulf Coast and down 4,000 bpd on the West Coast. Domestic ethanol inventories ended the week at 22.02 million bbl, up 249,000 bbl week-on-week and 1.031 million bbl, or 4.7% higher than in the same week last year. East Coast PADD 1 inventories ended the week at 6.866 million bbl, up 120,000 bbl week-on-week and 447,000 bbl, or 6.5% higher than in the same week last year. Midwest PADD 2 inventories ended the week at 8.658 million bbl, up 81,000 bbl week-on-week and 173,000 bbl, or 2% higher than in the same week last year. Gulf Coast PADD 3 inventories ended the week at 4.065 million bbl, up 7,000 bbl week-on-week and 638,000 bbl, or 15.7% higher than in the same week last year. West Coast PADD 5 inventories ended the week at 2.075 million bbl, up 30,000 bbl week-on-week and 251,000 bbl, or 12.1% lower than in the same week last year. (c) Copyright 2024 DTN, LLC.
